finally i've got a change to take a rest... after one whole week working... including those no pay training....
as i result... i became very lazy and sleepy for whole day.... and even didn't write anything...
Josephine said she plans to go the next destination... go to the farm... but since i came here not long ago, she suggested she goes first and i can join her afterwards....
we have to move anyway... to leave this dream house....
if so, i can move back to city, i can save time and $... but we will still stay at Carindale for 2 weeks. Yesterday was the day to pay rent. Each time we pay two weeks and if we want to move, 2 weeks notification.... that means we have to inform our landlord, Aaron by yesterday. Josephine was so worry abt that... she afraid Aaron would be angry with that... but anyway, we waited him came back after school and she off-duty first....
i applied YHA membership.... just in case i need to live at YHA hostel... Jo said it's cheaper to apply it at HK... so i applied it on-line paid by my master card... it would send to my HK living place, i'll ask my sister to send it to Brisbane once she got it.
i started using the ipod speaker bought by my sister.... haha, it's a bit larger than i expected... i prefer a small and handy one... like a small lego... abt 2 x 5 x 1.5 cm.... but it's now 11 x 11 x 11 cube.... but it's look nice.... match with my place.... if i don't have to move, it should be great...
okay la.... my instructions is not clear enough... Jusco is a large store... i want this one actually... why i didn't send her a pic.... silly me...
this products are so "MAG Digital" or "ExcoTech" that i worked at Vision and been freelancer for ExcoTech... if at that time, i can have such a nice place to take lifestyle product shots.....
now, i can play my ipod, if i have mood, i can dance too...
i went out to meet up Josephine to buy something... went we came back... the gate outside was locked... we never use any key or password to come in b4.. we called Aaron for help... seems he not happy with that already...
we waited the best timing to tell him that our decision... he was shocked and feel bad... i can understand.... he's paying the rent too, if no one rent our room, than he needs to pay his own...
i believe once someone rent our room, he will be feel better....
josephine is so worry abt that.... but i think, once make the decision, don't regret...
i still have to find a share house to move two weeks after. God, pls prepare a good living place for me...
our flatmate, Peter came back and fixed the wireless on-line.... great.... it's really faster and i can upload photos now~~~ but don't know if i have to control how much i upload and download.... since on-lining here is different from HK.... every giga byte counts....... and there's peak time and off-peak time.... i should control...
since i was too sleepy... i think i slept for 12 hours non-stop after that....

i fired my boss...
if u got my facebook.... i quited my job finalllllllly... really can't stay anymore. it's a nightmare.....
same as last Mon, i washed dishes yesterday. i had once thought of it's better than being a waitress.... but i found that i'm absolutely wrong....
as i mentioned b4... there's a Vietnam lady taught me how to wash the dishes... she started taught me more other works..... which i'd never thought if it's my role or not..... at the morning, she asked me to do some clean up for the washing room... wiped the mirror, brushes the sink, toilet.... i even went to the male's washing room....
after that.... i think i could wash the dishes faster...
another waiter, Peter found that i became a dishwasher today, he wondered why...
i chatted with another new waiter at the break time..... i asked him how many days he trained.... he said 2-3 days.... since i was there almost everyday last week.... i approx. know how many days.... again, why i took 4 days?! 3 half day and one full day... felt being cheated again....
after that, i chatted with Peter.... i found that he also worked very hard.... he's the last one to get his meal.... he's another working holiday ppl from Taiwan..... worked here for 2 months already...
---------------------------------
i bought a tel card (called hello China card) for calling mum in cheaper way... used to be AUD$10, but now in AUD$8.... great~~~
but my mum didn't pick up the call.... 50cents gone....
---------------------------------
Camel came durning that break time... he called me and then i follow his instruction to find him... he said he saw me ready, but i watched through those passers-by, where's he?!
finally i saw him on the car....... it surprised me... he borrowed his frd's car...
he bought me to a restaurant, he worked there b4... he shown me where's James Street.... etc.
and also bought me to meet Mandy, the manager of the Singapore Restaurant that i been there b4... she said i can come next week.... juz start remembering the menu first.
during the ride, Camel called his frd asking if his frd if they seeking ppl...... really thanks for his help...
he drove me backed to work....... i asked him to remember the face of that woman.......
my nightmare started......
i continued to wash the dishes.... that vietnam lady taught me how to clean the toilet again... this time, using bleach... brushed the toilet again.... this time.... including the male's urinal (this time she shown me, but i need to do it next time..) and then swept the floor.....
as u know, i seldom do such thing at HK.... juz start doing these thing here since my landlord request us to keep the house clean.
and i'm not a maid or cleaner.......... why i have to do such thing?!
Wendy and the owner of this restaurant saw her taught me how to do these things.... that means they think i should do it too...
then i backed to the dishes again........ when i started to wash the steam cages.... she asked me to bring a knife..... she shown me to another side of kitchen, shown me how to use the knife to cut some carton boxes into piece..... a cook of the kitchen saw it and help me silently...
after i finished, i backed to the dishes again........... a while later, she asked me to work on those carton boxes for second round..... when i held the knife.... i really wants to kill ppl....
andrew was nearby, he sang a song for me.... Ah Suen's story.... i said, "enough! i almost can't cope already.... i'm not Ah Suen........." James, the nephew of Wendy heard that.... i know he understand how hard i was....
finally i finished but after i saw them how to trash those stuffs...... i think they don't have to do it like this.... brainless....
and then she taught me how to clean the kitchen floor.... u know how messy it was........... take away the dirty and wet anti slippery mat.... brushed and swept the floor..... Wendy started saw her taught me too much things to border me finish the dishes..........
when i was working hard on the dishes again, James came and told me a dinner box are for me to take away.... also after he requested me for help, he given me an appreciate smile....
i know he afraid me leave.... he and Jimmy paid lot of efford to train me.... but i made up my mind....
before off duty.... wendy came and checked how many things left.... i found that don't know when and who put a large pot of soup behind.... i didn't know i have to clean that too..... it's so damn heavy.... it's still got a half with ingredients... how can i do it.... we did that together, but she needed me to trashed that.... walked pass a horrible backdoor... downstairs.... a dark, rusty iron stairs.... juz like those violence movies that someone will be shoot there... why me?
i told wendy i don't want to stay anymore....
she asked why? can i still help for this wed? no.......... never work here again........ even waitress... without blaming on how she's unfair to me..... i juz said it's really hard for me and i live far away....
i got nightmare on how to clean up the tables and remembering the dishes.... when i was napping during break time, these things came up my mind.....
it doesn't matter on how hard the work is.... all i want is repect and fair....
i can't get all the pay yet... need to wait till it ready...
------------------
after those hard times.... i had a drink with Camel and his frds including Andrew at Milton... that Paris Tower...
haha, i finally understand Guys topics are Cars and Women.... that's always true ;p

Angels are all around
finally i attended Sunday service after i arrived.
Thanks Terence and Eli's info. But seems those church are not near to my living place or working place. i tried to searched from the internet.... found a Church called International City Church at Fortitude Valley. I think it should be near to my working place, so that i can attend the service then go to work after that.
but just like what i mentioned yesterday, the buses are not as convience as HK.... the first 204 bus started at 8:21am... but it takes time to get there.... should be later than 9am... and i still don't know how to get there after i got off the bus.
i tried to ask the bus driver, but he got no idea too... he juz could tell me where's that street and should be go which way.... u know, Ann Street is a super long street.... 977, Ann street..... normally it takes abt 10 mins to get there..... but since i don't know where it is.... so i kept on walking walking walking..... asked somebody else, but she's got no idea too.... saw a trinity church, but the sunday service starts at 10am.... and then i saw Emporium.... the place that Andrew bought me to have a drink last week... it's 1000, Ann Street.... 1000!? OMG, i missed it already.... but where's it? everywhere are some Car's showroom.... Ford, Toyota.....
i asked God... Do u want me to come before u?! then i saw the Church, juz opposite to that street...
and i saw someone are late also.... when i came in, i told the receptionist i'm first time, she led me to the first few row at the middle, beside an old couple. they were worshiping, singing some songs, even i didn't hear those songs b4.... i tried to follow.... but i'm hardly sing since tears already running out.... i think it's God's mercy, so that i could find that church and join their sunday services.... when in praying time, i heard ppl spoke in tongue....
when greeting times, i chatted with the couple.... Sharon and Peter...
then a lady brought a basket of Chocolate, and asked who should get this chocolate.... Peter went out and said "Minnie over there, she found our church from the internet." and then he given me a chocolate bar..... so warm isn't it?!
the sermon was quite long.... like the BSF (bible study fellowship) i attended b4.... one senstence came to my mind.... "how i carried you on eagles' wings and bought you to myself".......... it became the blessing for today....
but i coudn't stay for the whole service, i left at 10:50am, and given myself 10 mins to walk back to chinatown.... b4 i left, i got the flyers abt their Easter programme.... there's a Good Friday drama at night.... i wonder if i should attend that or join some other church...
after that 10 mins walk, i juz got there on time....
OMG, crowded and crowded of customers.... then i worked for 5 hrs non-stop.....
at the last hours.... other waiters off duty.... remaining me and few ppl...... wendy said, "u know how low pay u are, u can work longer.... they can off.... " oh, do i need to thanks her given me more offer? but one ppl serve the whole restaurant.... take the orders, reset the tables, serve food, refilling the tableware..... but i saw other ppl at the back enjoying their dim sum at the back........ when i off-duty, all the food are gone.... Dan saw that and told me "Wendy is crazy, how can she treats me like that?"... even no food leaving for me... he tried to seek some remaining food for me.... he successfully got me some red bean puff, fried chicken... and asked me if i want some water.... he's another angel that God sent me.... i cried secretly while eating the food.... my nose was running.... i don't know if Dan and Wendy saw it.... i don't care....
when i went to bus-stop, i missed the bus.... need to wait for 50mins.... so i got a bus to city and change another bus.... while i was waiting the bus at city, a man came to me, he said "are u going to caridale?" yes, i am".... i thought he just want to make sure he got the right bus..... but he said, "i've got a weekly ticket, will be expired today.... i can give it to u, coz i bought the new one already....." oh, great! i can save money.... it saved abt $3 .... when i thought i have to spend more $ to interchange the bus at city... God sent me one more Angel and made me save $.i want to cry again....
the man who given me the ticket got the seat far away from me to wait the bus... but after we got on the bus, he sat beside me.... we hi again and chatted the whole travel time.... he lives at Camp Hill.... i can't figure out how old he is.... i think 4X-5X?? he said he works at city, BTW, he called Ken.
Terence finally arrived and given me a call.... he said i should tried to go back to the Singapore restaurant, since i got the TFN already.... yea, i should try.... i think the salary must be higher...
or i should start job hunting....

3rd day waitress training
started my third day training at King of kings.... OMG! so many trainees today.... includings me, 5 ppl altogether. 2 young girls were first day and 2 guys for second day.
including 4 waiters, 3 dim sum ladies and some relatives of this restaurant.... sometimes i saw many ppl cleaning up the same small table.... it's a funny scene. but i still have to co-work with others.... it's team work... so when it's a large table, i'll work with them.
Dan is so kind, he taught me so many skills. i made a little fault, i spilled the soya bean sauce on the new cloth, he came and taught me to wrap it with the old one, then no one will found i made fault...
almost the end of the afternoon shift, i chatted with other new trainees... asked them their names and where did they come from. Melody is a student from HK. Iris is a working holiday visa ppl from Taiwan. Yi and another guy are students from Mainland China. compare with them, i'm so old....
and i also chatted with another waitress, Xin from Tsing Tao... she looks like a dancer.... her figure, and her hair style.... a typical chinese pretty gal... white skin, single eyelid.... i asked her if she knows dancing... she said yes... but didn't dance after came to AU... i thought she's dance school student, but she said she's studying commerce...
i start remembering the drink list myself.... they still not teach me yet, but i tried to mark them down at the break time.... XXXX Gold, Bitter... Hahn...... premium light.... they r really new too me.... there r so many local beer which never rang my bell....

meeting Junno
i planned to have training on night shift today... but i saw a missed call and sms from josephine. Junno, a brother of my fellowship, another WHV backpacker, he just came to BNE, she asked me if i want to meet him tonite. so i told wendy i have something to do tonite and left.
i met them up at city... he's juz stay here for one night and will go to perth tmr morning. it's good to hear his experience to work at the farm and how he's going this half year of his trip.
since we claimed we are poor.... and i don't want to eat chinese food outside (coz i can eat it at my restaurant), Josephine don't want to eat Japanese food (coz she's working at a Suisi Roll shop).
finally we chose McDonald's... that's the first time for me after i arrived.... AUD$8.45 i.e. abt HKD$60 for a Grand Angus meal.... i'd already expected and still cheaper than other food....
the taste... i don't know if HK have Angus Burger.... but i think it's a bit better than HK...
we walked to the place he stays tonite. it's YHA hostel at city. we got a little visit there. most ppl staying there are westerners.... the place is not bad, clean, with swimming pool, large and clean kitchen... but no free internet services.... it's relatively cheap rent. and there's lockers with socket inside it.... so ppl and recharge their mobile phone inside... it's a good design...
we wanted to visit his room too... but we saw a guy juz wrapping himself with a towel, half naked... haha.... quite embarrass.... and his roomates was sleeping already.... so we left.
when we got back to Carindale, the shopping mall closed again and needed to walk outside the mall...... don't know why tonite was so dark, many lights closed...
i have to think of if i need to walk alone, which way should i take.
street beach and 2nd day of waitress training
been to Street Beach at South Bank on wed. no work, no training on that day.
after i been to library, it's already 2:30pm... and arrived there at 3:XXpm. Mr. Sun is so shy... he hid his face and juz seldomly let me see his eyes and then put on his sun-glasses again.
since i went there along, and no locker.... i couldn't go swimming.... some youngsters had sun-tanning also.
the pics are too sexy, i can only show u this.... haha
i got training on Thursday for whole day. i started to remember the name of the dishes.
from the names of Dim Sum... and also the dishes for night time....
for dim sum, it's not very hard.... but the night time dishes.... still need to pay more effort.
That younger nephew (Jimmy) actually not treating me that bad. he just wants me to pick up all the things fast. he starts sometimes using Cantonese to chat with me.... surely most of the time using English.
only one ppl treats me bad... is a dim sum lady.... only a dim sum lady, she yelled at me and said, "don't u see the teapot cover is open? u have to add some more water!! Don't u know this?!" Shit! not only i'm working there, not only my duty.....
and then when i cleaned some dim sum steam cages up, i put them at her trolley.... she said "don't put them on my trolley! u have time to put it back to kitchen!".... but all ppl doing that.... for saving time.... chi sin....i'm juz imitate how others doing. even the in-charge ppl didn't blame me, and i'm not doing anything wrong. when sometimes the method i'm using is not correct, they just correct me in a sincere way.
i started to have training on the night shift. but since i'm new, and i need to avoid customer request me things and i didn't know what it is. so i need to keep some distances with the customers. when they know i can do it, then will ask me to do it, says give them some tea, the dishes, change the table set....
only one major fault i made... there's a trolley with some dishes.... sometimes with dirty dishes for us to clean up the table.... sometimes with clean dishes for refill the drawers.... i put the dirty dishes on the clean one.... they didn't blame me alot and said most new waiters did the same thing..... that's okay... but i feel so regret to the dishes cleaner... she have to do it again....she smiled to me when she's off duty... but she didn't know what i done..... sorry ar....
and Jimmy said me shoes is not good.... see too much feet.... one for not good when customers see me feet... and also for my own safe.... but i still need to spend some more $ when i still got no pay yet?! should i??

Ability to serve
Yesterday morning, since Wendy was not there, she asked her nephew to train me to work as waitress. but when i arrived, another nephew (younger one) was there.... he taught me some and challenged me... he knows cantonese actually, but he speaks with me in English... fine, my English is not that bad...
He given me a test on remembering the table no,, i passed. then he asked me to take a look on how others are doing. i tried to help. Jacky and Peter were those for me to inmitated. Jacky speaks in Cantonese and Peter speaks in Mandarin. But Peter taught me some more professional skills.
the chopsticks should be on the right and the endside facing the customers. the table cloth how to place will definitly at the middle of the table.... which cloth is in which size.... how to place the seat, says 6 ppl table, how the seat should be place..... everything should be remember it.
i think i picked all things up fast. just a bit slow. but fresh meat are like that i think. add oil!!
since i'm in probation period, no pay for that... but i can choose some dim sum for my lunch, i treat it as my salary. i chose a prawn dumplings and Beef ball. the prawn dumplings, not bad but the beef ball.... same comments with the Lasagna i tried at the 1st day.... the beef is so "so"... i miss the beef i ate at HK....
that big newphew (haha, i still don't know his name), said i basically pass. just can do faster. he said i can try the night shift, i can learn more things and learn how to please the customers (esp. westerners). only English can help.
but since he's not there on wed, i can go back on Thurs. hopefully i can pick up asap and get higher pay.

Meeting Amy Wong
Jo and i had a little reunion with Amy Wong and her hubby, Peter. There's no big change on her and she said same for me. Really? that's not a bad thing... i think in these years, i had a lot of changes, became fat, got slimmer, and mayb back to the secondary school figure.
Peter drove us to portside, we enjoyed some fish & chips, shrimps, oysters, salad... nice.
then we went to another place to enjoy some ice-cream.
We chatted abt how we r going, the news abt other clarians, the teachers... the differences between Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne......
also the jobs, the weddings.... yea, many of our classmates getting marry or got married.... why i'm still a single lady?!
wait patiently.

Symphony of Kitchen
i started to work at the Chinese Restaurant at Chinatown yesterday.
as i mentioned b4, Wendy called me and said they need someone wash the dishes on every Mon. so start from yesterday, i will work there full day for washing dishes.
Andrew works as a cook there, he came to me if i got any hard feeling abt that? i can voice out... since i've got no experience, so if i really want to work with pay, wash the dishes can do... and just one day, not everyday.... i think i'm okay. He brought me some fried rubs noodles as my lunch and lent his apron to me.
the one who taught me how to wash dishes is a Vietnam lady. she can't speak cantonese, mandarin and just knows a bit English. We just used some body language and another Mandarin lady who is a cook taught me some also.
when i tried not to feel i'm so poor... juz like some country girl working at a city.... i stayed calm and tried to listen the sound arounds me... someone chopping pork... then another one joining in... at the beginning they are different, one off beat and one on beat... then they chopping together... become faster, faster.....
someone at the back singing........
the bell ringing (because the Dish is ready to serve)...
all these are a percussion... if u had heard of STOMP or Dr. Lung Heung Wing....
Andrew drove me back to my place... really thanks and he given Camel a call and we chatted on the car using speaker. Actually, since there's some card problem on the IDD card i bought from HK... i still can't make any calls to HK yet. feel so sorry to my parents.

Sunday.... but no Church :(
spent some time to do the house work.... really want to find a church to attend sunday service... but don't know which one is better and don't know the time table.... or don't know the locations....
meet up with may at the city... window shopping... had a coffee and hot cross bun.... then she brought me to the botanical park... the trees are so high.... the feeling is so comfortable.... we walked passed the river side, sometimes under the highway.... many runners, cyclist around....
finally we walked 5km... from city to Toowong and her place... sweating but cool!
Wendy called me suddenly, she told me i can help the kitchen for washing the dishes, with pay! thanks God!! don't breaking the dishes tmr.........
reached her place, May shown me her paintings.... really got her own style.... i think she paid so much effort on it... i'm too lazy...
her parents in law and hubby are nice. we chatted freely during the meal. good to have chinese homemade meal... they made mutton... actually i don't like mutton, but not bad, not too "so"... i couldn't accept the taste.
her cat is so big.

South Bank
followed Camel's recommendation, i'd been to South Bank yesterday. There's a lifestyle market.
i took a bus to the Cultural Center, the station after South Bank.
i walked around at the art museum area. free entry is great! the nearest area is Asian Art... Chinese sculpture, Japanese Ukiyoe..... not much big interest on them....
then i saw a installation artwork... a middle east style building, with some still water around.... a little path walk to the building.... the artist request the audience to have a calm and peaceful mind to walk that path.
after that, i was attracted by a hugh rubbish hill.... some reuse materials form a hill... such as papers, straws, strings, sticks........ many planes made by these materials were hung on the walls and from the ceiling.... some ppl includings kids and adults were doing their own plane.... many cute babies and kids..... i made my own plane too.... i enjoyed this moment....
then, i watched some paintings.... i think the most famous one must be Edgar Degas, the one who drawn many ballet dancers... and then Anthony Van Eyck (i believe he's the offspring of Jan Van Eyck).... for other artists, never rang my bell before....
before leaving the museum, i asked the staffs for how to go the market.... she given me a map.
i walked pass the Brisbane wheel.... $15 for one ride.... may try next time with some frds.
there some large birds at the river side... don't know the name of this kind of birds... with a long long black beak.. i think it would eat our food... so i won't have meal at the river side restaurant!!
some ppl busking at the lifestyle market.... um... the guitar player is so great, the songs he played was lovely..... sigh.... should be in that quality if i really want to busking.... practice more first. and the other couple were stayed still, wore victoria times clothes with white face make-up. when ppl pay them, they moved and given a bow.... i saw their eyes moving.... not really professional.... lol
after i came back to Carindale, i met up with Jo for shopping at supermarket. i treated myself better, bought some more meats for cooking better dinner.
when i chatted with the landlord at the meal, he said the korean guy will be move in next week. we should make a big meal and have a little orientation.
he told me the church he's attending is a korean church, otherwise, i should ask him to bring me there. no church today ;(
where's the nearest Church?!

Busking and Josephine's bday
when i woke up and tried to make some coffee. my landlord Arron was there. He seldom at home at that time. i chatted with him for a while, he asked me how's my interview yesterday... He said he will go to Sunnybank and can help me to buy some Chinese food. I still not yet miss HK food actually. and i said i may buy it myself when i'm working at Chinatown, starting from next week. before i go to library, i told him i'm going to celebrate Josephine's bday tonite.
then i went to City for applying busking. From the info i got before, i need to go the city hall to apply for the permit. then i went to Brisbane City Hall. i saw a notice that it moved. then i went to the new one at 157, Ann street. He told me i can go to the Police beat at Adelaide Street, they can give me detailed informations and tell me how to get there. that's the first time for me to go the Australia Police station. the policewoman told me i need to go the Brisbane City Council at 266, George Street. After i came in, i went to the counter, they asked me to pass thru the bldg. and go the counter inside..............
okay. stop "garden walk around"... finally they given me a form. but she told me there's an audition for that... at 15th May....
MAY?! i think i will no longer at BNE at MAY............ this door, closed......... sigh... keep faith!!!
then i went to post office, i found that it's same fee with Hong Kong... $1.4... but in AUD... that means 7 times....
since i still need to wait Josephine, i tried to spent some time at the library. i couldn't find any interesting design books or magazines..... but i looked outside... i saw some Ancient Rome style buildings.... i thought of draw some sketches on that, i have sketch book, pencils, color pencils and markers... i can do that. so i spent half an hour to finish it. when the pencil draft finished, some pigeons approched me.... i tried to fake kick them... they hold back a little bit, afterwards they don't fear me....... but i fear them....... so i escape, no time to use the marker...
but Josephine was almost ready to go. so we met up and went to Milton station. we tried the long long pizza. there's 25cm, 50cm and 100cm... 2 person, 50cm is maximum.... we chose 50cm and we can chose 3 tastes. we've got 40% off.... finally $20.7 for 2 person... okay wor!!
then we went to another restaurant for coffee and dessert.
when we arrived Carindale, the shopping mall was closed. i wondered why for yesterday almost the same time, it still opened but today is not.... Jo told me coz Thursday for Aussie is a pay day, all ppl assume to have fun and back home late. Fri is not. so we walked outside the shopping mall........ sooooooooooo farrrrrrrrr awayyyyyyyyyyyyy............ chi sin...... i mustn't work for the night shift!!
but on the way back home, the smell of the flowers, the twinkle stars... and sometimes the smell after the rain......... i start love this place...
after we came back, Arron left a cake outside our bedroom, how nice he is!! since he's going out for work, Josephine and i tried some and put it to the fridge. with a memo for thanks giving. this landlord is really nice to us. Thanks God.

China Town
woke up early even no need to work. after i simple breakfast, i'd been to jogging near my place. it's a nice place, but the ravens are soooooo big.... just like a small eagle... horrible...
took a few pics then came back and did the laundry thing... i found it tooks more than an hours to finished... so i went to the library, i starts remembering the way without using me notes and map...
i planned to apply for a library membership, so that i can reserve the computer for uploading photos. The librarian told me i need to get a address approval. his suggestion was going to the bank and ask them print me a bank statement.
he told me where is my Commonwealth bank. and i found that it juz nearby the entrance that i came in the shopping mall. but the teller told me she couldn't do it for me, i could do it on-line.... i've got no printer!! but i found that when i got a account yesterday, they given me a kit. my address is in that letter. so i came back home and got that letter. The laundry was almost finished, so i waited a while. OMG, it starts raining... what should i do?? the weather here is like that, sometimes Sunshines brightly, sometimes rains... not very heavy, but better not hanging the clothes outside. so i kept them at the bedroom.
Then i went back to the library and got the membership finally. had one hour reservation for computer.
then i went to chinatown for meeting up with Camel's frd, Andrew. he's nice. since i missed the chance to meet up his brother in law, he brought me to somewhere called Emporium... he bought me a drink and dessert. i chose a chocolate macademia brownie.... OMG, it's a large one... included the mocha... i was soooooo full...
after that we came back to the restaurant. waited for a while then someone called Wendy had interview with me. she said since i've got no experience, i need to have a probation period. and in the probation period, no pay. the probation may take a few days, depends on how i pick up the things. okay la... just like what my grandma said, "willing to learn, willing to work hard.... 'sit die siu siu', doesn't matter.... i will try.
when wendy knows i may not stay long, she became mad.... but finally she still asked me to try on the coming monday. afterwards, Andrew called me back, he told me i don't have to be that honest... i can just let ppl know my visa last for one year... is that a white lie? whatever la...
i also plan to busking. don't know if it works. i'll go the city hall and ask how to get a licence. on the other hand, i start practicing my SanXian. that's the first time for me to play this new Small SanXian, i need to get used to it. it's smaller then the one i used to play, so i need to get used to the fingering... i played hymns, chinese songs, old songs.... hope that i can play it at the city.

All by myself
the bed is so comfortable, despite the fact that joesphine seized the blanket at mid-night, lol!
since Josephine need to work, i tried to be independent. Yesterday they shown me the place, but actually i couldn't remember them.
today, i bring the map along then go to the city.
i even didn't know where's the bus stop from my place, only know what it's at the opposite side of the shopping mall. i marked down which entrance i passed thru' then i know how to go back. every familiar shop became my landmark. the Giordano, the Crabtree... and the blue carpark (there's some red carpark, orange carpark)
i'd been to the city and got a bank account first. then i went to the Singapore restaurant. i'd been there yesterday already, so i have a little bit idea how to get there. But when i came in, the waitress said the contact person wasn't there and she must be at another shop. she tried to tell me how to get there but finally she needs another waiter to show me. they speak mandarin. when they know i can speak mandarin too, they were so glad. are they from Singapore? Taiwan? Mainland China? i've got no idea.
according to the info from that Mandarin guy, it's just nearby. after the interview, she told me i need to get the Tax File No. first.
but don't know how long i need to wait... one week? two weeks?
how can i wait that long without income?!
i was worrying and wanted to cry again... no mood to walk around anymore.
got the bus back home.... i thought of if ppl using human ways to do things, the result can be out of expected. once i think i can do it myself, God tells be nope. there's something i can't control it myself.
after backed to Carina Heights, the Westfield shopping mall. i tried to find where's the library. an old lady shown me how to get there. they are so sincere. i used their computer, tried my best to upload the pic. someone reserved this computer and had some time left. i tried to use that 10 mins. when i found my card-reader out, only 2 mins left... i tried my very best to upload a pic... and uploaded one pic successfully... haha.... other pics... sorry, later la...
i tried to apply for the TFN. and called another contact provided by Terence. it's a Chinese Restaurant at China town. actually i've got no idea how to get there. Andrew got no idea too since most of the time he drives, no idea on the bus route. i tried to find that out. and finally found one suitable for me. it's great that i can get there directly.
i will go there tmr. hope everythings gonna be okay.
enjoyed the meal tonite, josephine prepared the pasta. and enjoyed the chips with TV. it shows "So you think u can dance" for the whole night. lovely!

after backed to Carina Heights, the Westfield shopping mall. i tried to find where's the library. an old lady shown me how to get there. they are so sincere. i used their computer, tried my best to upload the pic. someone reserved this computer and had some time left. i tried to use that 10 mins. when i found my card-reader out, only 2 mins left... i tried my very best to upload a pic... and uploaded one pic successfully... haha.... other pics... sorry, later la...
i tried to apply for the TFN. and called another contact provided by Terence. it's a Chinese Restaurant at China town. actually i've got no idea how to get there. Andrew got no idea too since most of the time he drives, no idea on the bus route. i tried to find that out. and finally found one suitable for me. it's great that i can get there directly.
i will go there tmr. hope everythings gonna be okay.
enjoyed the meal tonite, josephine prepared the pasta. and enjoyed the chips with TV. it shows "So you think u can dance" for the whole night. lovely!

Arrive!!
finally i arrived. before aboarding, 100,000 things wanted to do... worried miss any important things. had a last mins lunch with Kanas & Sion, my Vision ex-colleagues. And had a chinese tea time with family. rushed to the bank for change some more AUD... OMG, the currency is now 1=7.1XXX, so damn expensive....
went to air-port with Dad and Mum, met up with Chris... thanks Chris coming, not only stayed with me for last min at HK, also helped me to arrange the overloaded baggage problem. 23kg... i overloaded alot... Chris's frd Pauline who worked at the airport given great tips... finally only a large bottle of sun-block needed to ask someone to bring me later.
after aboarding, i read the card given by Chris and full of California buddies' blessings. almost cried...... i will take care myself and u too!
i couldn't sleep in the 9 hours night flight... don't know why, i could fallen asleep easily anywhere, but not that flight... mayb too many worries, expectations.......
i'm so dizzy now.
after past thru' all things, i saw May Poon was there waited for me. We didn't see for 10 years, but not much change...
she drove me to the shared house which Josephine was there waited for me. When the car passed by many beautiful house, i wondered how would our place be. And finally we stopped at somewhere nice. really out of my expected. a 3 stories house. the landlord is a Korean Christian, and another Korean school boy will be move in soon.
really want to post photos here and facebook. but since the landlord said the wireless account is now using his frd's account. it's not good to download files... i think upload files are same case, right? he's now applying his own account, then the problem can be solve later... but how long? i don't know.
went to Toowong and city, May shown me where's the restaurant that Terence introduced me to work for. but since i think i'm not ready to have an interview at that moment. i juz made a call outside the restaurant. she requested me to prepare a CV... oh, i didn't prepare. so i think i should prepare it first.
i still worry whether i know how to get there myself. and i may need to take a bus instead of train tmr... Josephine and May needed to work tmr, i need to do it alone... also need to get a bank account also.
after paid the rent and bought something i needed, the first meal at city, really spent me lots of money. need to get a job asap.
Josephine and i went to supermarket together, bought something for the dinner. we chose wisely... we plan to eat bread and pasta for the coming days....

Flash Back
flash back to last fri... i want to note down all the special thing one by one.. try to make it simple.
Last Friday 5/3
BP class--> high tea with my insurance agent--> do a little shopping--> had a reunion with Vision colleagues.
BP class
supposed to attend G's class, when i came in at around 5 mins b4 the class... "oops! is u?!" i exclaimed to Kim.
and he told me why, haha... okay la, totally understood.
sang K
sang K with dora, she got a long lunch break... because of her, i can have student offer.... $4X for a lunch K... for 3 hours? i forgot....
BTW, i found that most of the English songs was taken off from the list... mayb coz of copyrights.... i assumed Green/ Red box got more english songs, but now may not...
no Beyonce, no kelly clarkson, no alicia keys, no leona lewis, no ciara......... but Lady Gaga.... lol.... Poker face, Bad Romance.... so hard to sing the poker face, better for bad romance....
Reunion with vision colleagues
glad to update their news and i told them my leave. i also heard from them abt how's other ex-colleagues, ex-boss..... the most important thing is the good news from Irene & Hang!
but so regret that i can't attent their wedding... i'm the one who can be their witness... from they juz know each others, they sit next to me.... same dept.... and most of our colleagues assumed they are dating but they denied.... then it became the truth.... i'd been waiting their good news for a long time.... u know, not every ppl's wedding u r really willing to attend. but for them, i'm really regret to miss it :(
Busy night at home
actually it's not early when i arrived home... but i needed to make some meat balls for the Alto gathering on the next morning. And I also prepared for the song leading of the fellowship on the late afternoon. Should prepare the power point, think of the flow and what to say. After I finished all thing, I think it’s already 3am…
Sat 6/3
Woke up early for visiting a sister’s place at Stanley. Such a dream house…. Near to the beach is already great…..
B4 that, I went to take my namecard. I prepared two sets for me, one for distributing to my frds, one for seeking jobs. The info of this two are different. The seeking job one with qualifications, nationality, which kind of visa I’m taking. The frds’ one with my blog, facebook, msn…. Etc.
For the gathering, we prepared lots of food, they were all delightful. Some of them made by their maid… hire a good Thai maid is not a bad thing, then we can eat Thai food always.
Since most of them have children, in kindergarten, playgroup, primary sch…. So they discussed which school is better for the daughter of one of them. St. Paul Co-ED and DGS…. Both are traditional famous school. I found that even our choir members, most of them was graduated from famous school too… because of living at HK Island? Or NPAC is really a middle class church??
Even their topics are the these thing, but I enjoy it…. But since I love children, I want to have my own babies.
Worship time of the fellowship
U know, to stand in front of 50ppl, lead the prayers, proclaim the God’s name….. if in human way, i think I can’t do it… even I written some script but based on my experience, I always overlooked when I was too nervous. I wanted to share how my faith in God of this trip, but it’s not a personal song sharing time. I just chose those songs which touched my heart and let them know we have to keep our faithfulness in God.
I chose Leona Lewis’s Footprint in the sand. and another Stream of praise’s song. Both related together. To know that God carries us when we walk thru the sorrow path…. He’ll never forsake us. That’s His promise.

So after we know that, we have to learn how to praise Him, even in the hard time. And understand His is the one who prepares the way for us.
Thanks that God gave me some good backup singers and pianist (my sister, so that we could discuss and jam midnight at home;p)
After the worship, Ceci asked me if I mind to let them know I’m leaving…. Yes, only my cellmates know b4…. And that fellowship time, we had a praying time…. I think at that time…. It’s already 80ppl…. They prayed for me in 2-3 ppl’s groups. I was so touched and feel blessed abt that.
