had breakfast at Toowong with May b4 go to work...
too early for work, so i writen some "postcard" at library.... i couldn't finish all, so i juz planned to send the letter for those students of GuangXi and to my parents first. coz my Dad's bday is coming soon..
and i tried to go the post office at city....
when i was on the way to the post office, in front of the book store, i saw a book signing... a woman... i thought, susan boyle?! but after that, i saw the poster, Julie Goodwin... who is she? from the cover of the book, she's a cook... ar huh...
i told May abt that afterwards, she said she's famous, she's the 1st MasterChef winner...
after i arrived the post office, it's almost 11:15pm... and i still need to queue up for buying stamps... so finally i quited, the queue was quite long and i think i would be late if i waited for that.... planned to come again after work.

today's work was better, mayb got release last nite or don't have to control the cashier machine.
everythings was smooth... except Jerry asked me if i know which tables are being reserved, had i brought the customers to the wrong table... i swear i know that, i had checked the list, table 2-3, 5-6, 32, 34 had been reserved, i know.... i didn't make this fault today. Not every fault must be done by me, although i'm the newest... i denied bravely, then he said, "gum okay la..."
i must understand sometimes there's some guys 懶醒 gum teach me... that's okay, be humble all the time..... they are putting $ to my pocket...

after work, i'd back to the post office.... i found a nice Catholic church... although i'm a christian, i still go inside and take a look.... it's nice with stained glasses windows... the Jesus on the cross looks a bit different from normal.... looks younger and got shorter hair... the cross seems not a cross, i only saw the horizontal wood... i took a seat and prayed a short while... looked upon Jesus's face and left.... next time, i should bring my camera....

after i backed home, i turned on the music and sang it along......... i found that i'd got a long time didn't do such thing.... that's the best way for me to express my feeling.... and u know, i love sing karaoke very much.... no chance to sing here..... follow the singer sing, i treat it as karaoke already... surely i need to do that only if May's parents in law are not backed home yet, don't scaring them ;p

Addidas... seems that's my first Addidas shoes, i always bought Nike....
the sales promoted the insert for me..... AUD$40... i'd tried, yes, it's more comfortable, but if i buy that insert, why i don't buy a better shoes with more air instead of adding insert?? so i said mayb next time....

NEED RELEASE......
today, although juz work for a few hours, but in stressed mood.... i really need to release...
start working at 10:30am, only me and carol outside.... i was earlier tha her.....
no one tell me i need to enter from back door, but i guessed it correctly....
i did according to what Elsa told me....
basically no missing...
but the most challenge part.... is to control the cashier..... a bit complicated, i still need to remember the menu more.... they let me to try, but i'm surely not fast enough.... so scaring to do the change.... tried not to make mistakes, but the queue became longer and longer.... the customers started felt impatience..... till they found that too much customers waiting, i should do other things and they take order....
i had answer the phone to do the table reservation,,,, and carol also asked me to help her record another reservation for tmr.... i marked it down....
b4 off duty, mandy asked me to come to her.... she said.... do u know u made a fault? the reservation for tmr, should be mark on another book.... the page i marked (the next page of today's booking), was yesterday... BUT, one, no one told me abt that.... two, there's no date on the next page, i only saw "2", so i think someone forgot to finish it, and i wrote 29 / 4 / 2010 (THU) .............. she said, u know if i made this fault, other ppl would bear it for me.... if i don't know something, i should ask, don't guess myself..... sigh.... i think it's juz common sense....

after the run, we backed home and use 9"9 to shower and go out again.... ate Chilli Sichuan cusine......... a Bean Sauce Tofu, Chilli fish soup, Mongo lamb. with Beers....
wa....... the fish soup...... supppppppppppper spicy....
okay la.... finally released all the stress ;)

new challenge!!
today, before off duty, Carol asked me to stay a while for training. Since i have to start working b4 the shop open tmr, many new things i should know. i should learn how to use the cashier and take order, how to do the preparations (turn on the lights, TV, air-con, computer... put the $ in the cashier, take the sauce trays..................etc. ) need to finish all things within 30 mins.
the most complicated is how to use that cashier.... many many buttons and different cases.... that took more than one hour to learn.... thank you Elsa.
how much i got it? will be tell tmr.... i'm a bit worry abt that... hope i won't be too slow and don't make any fault.

when i was testing the machine... i pressed a Skewered Satay Chicken... and want to know how to change, i did it... the receipt directly shown at kitchen... elsa knew it too late, coudn't stop the kitchen on time.... they really made it ;p so we had a chance to taste.... luckily managers were left.... hehe...

he is juz 24!! same on working holiday, but he younger than me a lot!
he asked me what i was doing in HK... he asked if Graphic Designer earn $ more than normal jobs.... seems he always concern this thing....
actually i don't know how to define normal jobs.... but surely far better than a waitress.....
if i'm for $, i don't have to come here and work as a waitress or farmer....

Anzac Day Holiday
May's Dad and younger Brother just backed from HK and stay here for 3 days and will be back to NZ tmr. And Aussie here is in Anzac day holidays. i don't have to work and go out with them.
Sunday afternoon, we'd been to lone pine koala sanctuary. u know, Aussie tourist must do things, i don't know top 10, but at least 2 i had done already... Cuddle the koala and feed the kangaroos...
to entry the sanctuary, we had to pay $30 for each person. and cuddle the koala, the cheapest package is $16 for one 5R pic, but you can take extra photos with your own DC. i think it's reasonable. how does it feel? it's claw held me tight... a bit heavy...
feeding kangaroos... actually they are soooo greedy... if put the food on your hands, their eat the food from your hands, it bites u softly.... itchy... they are cute...
but i hardly see them jump...they are lazy.... juz walked slowly... and no Kangaroo BB in kangaroo Mama's belly... a little bit disappointed...
the most horrible thing is Emu are freely walk in the park.... actually in an area which no cage bounded them...
bush turkey also... i think there's abt two Emu... but don't know how many bush turkey... since bush turkey are just something live at that area, not a species of that park... and they can fly... ....................

a fish and a crab.... yummy! May's father in law cooked the dinner...
pork with Taro, crab, steam fish... and beer .... wonderful....
we had a good sleep....

Monday, is also a public holiday... we been to Toowong shopping mall for breakfast then go to Gold Coast....
drive by car, abt takes 1 1/2 hrs... juz walked around, we didn't stay at the beach...
wait next time when we are suitable for wearing bikinis.

then we ate Thai food with May's parents in law at the place near home.
despite the Tom Yum soups are using white buttons mushroom, not chilli and sour enough.... other foods are nice esp the green curry chicken and calamari...

after going back home, at around 9pm... suddenly power cut.... no light, no on-line services...
for abt 30-60mins....
i had a time doing things in the dark.... do to toilet, changed my clothes... i could do it...
i thought if i'm blind suddenly, how can i cope with it??

Toowong BCC Library
this morning, i heard some breathing voice inside my room.... but i didn't see Toffee... then i found that my sleeping bag seems abnormal... should be only got a pillow... and i found Toffee was hidden inside my sleeping bag....
after a while, he moved to auntie's bed... also inside the blanket.... so adorable...
after that May asked me out to enjoy breakfast then go to study at Toowong BCC library.....
i chose my favourite egg benedict... with smoked salmon and poached eggs.... i love it...

Get ready to Busk, Get ready to Rock!!!
i woke up ealier this morning... it's time for me to practice my SanXian.
as i said the audition for getting a permit to busk at city will be at mid May... i had ever thought i can wait till mid May... i thought i would no longer staying at Brisbane at that time... but time flies, it's already late April. mid May is coming soon... and if i wanna get a better working experience, i should stay longer at Little Singapore.
for my travel plan... haha, no plan is always the best plan. somewhere, something worth for me to stay, i will stay.
although i still wonder if someone i know see me busking at the Queen Street Mall, will it be embarrass? or i can juz perform like at on the stage?? actually should be not that nervous because no run-down, i can just play what i want to play at that moment. and i can repeating the songs (i assume no one would stay that long, even they are, they may not remember if those songs are not popular).
should i play some traditional chinese songs, Pop songs or western folk songs that are familiar for them??
i still not get used to play this smaller size SanXian, those fingering and the width between the strings are not same... i should wake up early everyday to practice.
May and their parents in law start work early, i actually got a good chance to practice w/o bothering them...

basically all the large tables were being reserved.... it's easily get fault when i lead the customers to any tables....
and since lots of ppl, lots of orders... the number stands changes a lot... it's not easy to treasure hunt...
i should learn how to calm down under pressure...
i think they start impatience to see me still not fast enought when lots of dishes are ready to serve....

mayb he's too tired and fallen asleep?? so May and me ran ourselves...
with Lady Gaga, or mayb i started to cope and learnt how to control my breath... seems i could run longer without stopping...

but my feet got some blister... again, buy a runner shoes....
After we backed home, we found out the reason why Heng didn't show up... he thought we would go to his flat... but we waited downstairs.....won't make such fault again next time;p

Somewhere over the rainbow
today, i off duty as usual... 2:30pm.... but i didn't spend time at the library since i wanna back home early for finishing the RSA course...
when i got off the train... Wow! i saw a rainbow... and i bought DC today... i captured it at once. u know, not much chance to see it in HK... it's amazing for me to see it....
if i back home late as usual, then i would miss it... thanks God... is that His covenant with me??
when i was walking back home, the song "somewhere over the rainbow" ringing my bell...

i found some $7X-$8X Nike Runner shoes.... i think it's already the cheapest.... most of them are $150-$230..... but don't compare the price with HK.... i'm earning AUD...
i wonder if those $7X-$8X are good or not, since i don't see air stuff but it written for Running.... should be suitable?! those with air are sooooooo expensive... although it looks like can fly after wearing it....
May said i may find something even cheaper than $7X-$8X at the outlet, so i didn't buy anything and wait SAT...

Butter Prawn Rice and jin-dui ice 煎堆冰 (i forgot the english name)... suddenly i'm thinking of if that's same with 珍多冰 now.... coz also with coconut cream.... the 煎堆 is something like jelly short thick rice noodles in green color. u know, the 煎堆 in Cantonese is a new year food, deep fried seasame ball... so it sounds interesting when i saw it in the menu...
We shared a Lobak, i always served this dish but never tried at LS...
the noodles that Heng ordered are exactly same with LS, even the green plate and the sauce, how it being served (with curry sauce, green onion and dried garlics)....

Train Joyride ﺕ
i got on the Ipswich line train... i started day dreaming... but after a while, i started wondering where i am.... if i need to get of the train soon? but when i saw the train passed by some train station without stopping, then i understand it's may directly go to Ipswich..... after many stations, the train stopped... i asked ppl if i can get off, she said nope, it's going to Darra... where's Darra?! i went back to my seat and a super fat woman who sat beside me asked me if i got on the wrong train.... she explained to me that the train is an express train, that's not offen, i'm so 'lucky" to get on that train. she told me i could get off at Darra, go to another platform and get the train back.... i may take extra 30 mins for going back home.... i chatted with her for a while... when i got off the train at Darra, i thanked her once again and said "God loves you." she smiled and 'Good luck" back to me. i found that "Good luck'' is really common here.
after i went to the opposite platform, i double confirm with a girl if this train is going back to city. she said yes but she then asked the girl who next to her if that is an express one... she didn't sure. but i still got on... that's may a bit risky.... the train is so new, looks really like an express train.... actually i mean it's looks like "airport express'" train of HK.... i worried abt that but juz let it be.... after a while, i heard it broadcast, the next station is Oxley (if the express train, it won't stop there) i was relieved after i heard abt that=)
when i train was almost reached Sherwood, it suddenly stopped.... the carriage became silence... after a while half of those lights turned off..... no broadcast.... people started wondered what had happened, but not too surprise.... i really wanted to captured that moment... but i didn't... a few minutes later, it moved and the light turned on again.... everythings back to normal....
and i backed home almost same time as usual....

before that, i spent some time at the library for writing letters to my students. those students at GuangXi....
if u had read my previous blog, facebook or know that i had been to GuangXi at Dec last two years for missionary trip....
before i left HK, i had written letters to my students... altogether 3, two gals, one guy... but till now, i still not got their reply.... actually i feel a little bit disappointed.... is they're busy or some delivery problem?? i know i should write something for them again.... since i'm settled down and have time to do such things. Mayb after i moved to those place where is not that cosmopolitan, i may face the delivery problem, and i may need to reply the letters by email.... if i can handwriting it, then i should do it....
since i didn't bring the letter pad, i bought it here... not as much choice as HK... but i know they like the pretty letter pad.... i still bought it.
be frank, since they didn't reply my previous letter (or i still not received it yet), i juz update them how's my life here. and three of them are similar.... i think just let them know i still remembering them, and give some positive message are enough....
i still got one letter to finish, and need to add the envelope... then it will be ready to send....
but i may process some recent photos for them... which pic should i choose?! i think i should take some pics with Koala at Lone Pine this Sun. juz like a tourist =p

i watched "Ah So's"video to do the tomatoes eggs.... i normally don't like this dish if my dad make it ;p
but since i found eggs, tomatoes at the fridge, i tried to make it.... and i always say i don't know how to make chinese food... so i tried...
actually not too bad, but i think i still can do better next time. i still not get used to cook at May's kitchen....

Long Monday
Monday is the longest day for work. 12noon-5:00pm. but if compare with other weekdays, not that much customers.
in the non-peak time, only me and Dennis were working. sometimes it's busy...
i started to take some order after the lunch time period. i asked Dennis to teach me how to use the cashier machine. he taught me but he said i've better pretend don't know it since if they want me to do that, they will teach me. If they know i knew it, then they may not glad abt it... okay=)
he told me i can take the drinks for myself too.... most of them are made already... so i can save $ to buy it outside=)

when i backed home at Central station, a local gal called me and asked if i could do a change for her... she asked me if i have one dollar... i hesitated but still got it from my wallet... then she said yes and took that without exchange another coins with me... then i know she actually begged for that.... a young normal gal beg for $1....
being affected by the Taiwan novel i read a few days at the library... the main character got such experience too, then she met her Mr. Right........ but this is a real life.... and the one who asked me $1 is a gal.... haha...
but just $1.... if she really needs it, i'm able to help. but i will watch out if same things happen again, then i won't give her since i know what she's doing...
wrong shoes
planned to go ICC church this sunday. the train made me waited 45 mins again.... damn it.
arrived Fortitude valley at 9:10am again.... i thought it called "bunswick street" station, but i think i they changed it's name. and even put "chinatown" at the station.
but i'm not going to chinatown but 10mins away from it by walk.
the problem was it's rained. i didn't bring umbrella. and during the rain, the weather became cold...
i worried i would catch a cold... the way was still very far, if u remember it's 9XX Ann's street... i walked from 3XX to 9XX...
fortunately, the rain wasn't that heavy and after i arrived to church, with lots of b/s, i didn't feel cold.
but feel like those country people at mainland china.... walked from far far away, climbed some mountains to reach the church. so that they feel cherish abt the service. so am i...
i started to remember the hymns.... i thought i'd heard that last time.
when at their praying time, they said this time the topic is pray for our family members, for those who still not yet believe christ... i suddenly missing my parents at HK... i weep again...
when i left the church, it started rain again.... but not heavy, and then stopped... but during the time at the train, it rained heavily at some stations.... i wondered if i need to call for help.... finally i didn't and no rain at Taringa, even sun shinning... yay~~

then i napped till 5pm and started running with May and Heng.
at the beginnig, with my ipod this time, i seems better than last time, but after i reached 1/3 my left knee started feel pain.... i didn't want to bother them and hurt my knee, i asked them to continue, and i walked back to the starting point which should be ending point too.... we would met up there. haha... i didn't get lost and know where to stop... u know, i'm idiot on directions...
i think my knee problem may definitely caused by my sneakers... those are for dancing... not suitable for running... i should buy a pair of running shoes.... mayb i should give up those useless dancing shoes, leave them or post them back to HK b4 i move on to another city.
and may Lord cure my injury....
arrived Fortitude valley at 9:10am again.... i thought it called "bunswick street" station, but i think i they changed it's name. and even put "chinatown" at the station.
but i'm not going to chinatown but 10mins away from it by walk.
the problem was it's rained. i didn't bring umbrella. and during the rain, the weather became cold...
i worried i would catch a cold... the way was still very far, if u remember it's 9XX Ann's street... i walked from 3XX to 9XX...
fortunately, the rain wasn't that heavy and after i arrived to church, with lots of b/s, i didn't feel cold.
but feel like those country people at mainland china.... walked from far far away, climbed some mountains to reach the church. so that they feel cherish abt the service. so am i...
i started to remember the hymns.... i thought i'd heard that last time.
when at their praying time, they said this time the topic is pray for our family members, for those who still not yet believe christ... i suddenly missing my parents at HK... i weep again...
when i left the church, it started rain again.... but not heavy, and then stopped... but during the time at the train, it rained heavily at some stations.... i wondered if i need to call for help.... finally i didn't and no rain at Taringa, even sun shinning... yay~~

West End Coffee Places
this trip basically for coffee tasting. may and i didn't know it before, she thought we are going to have breakfast. we tried three different shops, i tried chai latte, mocha & macchiato. an pear muffin & a sandwish.
the 3rd shop is the largest and the have some coffee workshops regularly. such a professional coffee place.i start to observing how other waiter/waitress doing, how to be professional, is that an Occupational Disease=p
i'm just loving my job, i want to do the best.

Everyone are careless
today, i left home even earlier.... i believe there's a train arrive around that time... if i get that train, i don't have to wait half an hour.... and don't have to walk to little singapore in rush. and really, i only waited for abt 5-10 mins this time.
i arrived city 30mins earlier.... i could choose Roma Street Station instead of Central Station.
Roma Street Station is the previous station of Central Station but a bit far from little singapore. i chose that station coz i still got time left and i want to understand more abt different locations of city.
i finally arrived 5-10mins earlier....
after a while, i saw someone seems to be our boss. that's the first time for me to see him. he drawn me some attention and after i saw him stayed at the cashier, i understood he's my boss!! and the same time, Mandy called Celia and asked me to clean the mirrors for washing room..... i think that's because of our boss arrived?!
luckily he didn't stay too long, otherwise, i think i'll be very stressed abt that....

many careless customers today.... one left her office ID card, another one left his hat.... a kind of Homburg hat.... when i cleaned up the table after they left, i found that.... luckily they are just left and still not far away from the restaurant. i given both of them back. when they got back their belongings, they given me an appreciated smile with thanks.... this made me feel great....

Mandy asked me to go to bank for exchange some notes to coins as usual. but when the teller counted how much money we got, AUD $200 was missing.... don't know which part got problem... the teller photocopy the corrected receipt then i given back to Mandy... actually i worried abt that.... i'm innocent...
after i told her, she wondered why... but still asked me to go back to work.... didn't mention abt that anymore.
i think that problem had been solved.... right?
i think so, from her tone talked with me afterwards....

Toffee
after i moved to May's place, when i woke up at the morning, the first "people" i see should be Toffee.
He's a large cute cat.
This morning, when i went downstairs, i called, "Meow, Meow~~" he looked up and then started approaching me...
played with him for a while, then i started preparing my breakfast. A cup of Milk, an oatmeal and a whole wheat bread. i told Toffee to enjoy the food each other. He sometimes walked around and used his body or neck to lean to my calf... while i was eating the oatmeal, he jumped up to the chair and looked at me.
after the breakfast, i played with him a while then went upstairs... while i was facebooking, he "Meow~~" and came into my room.... seems curious on my stuff, smelt around... i should take some pics on him....
after that, he went to other room and then stayed at the corridor, since i still opened the door, he juz lied down 2 meters away from me...
he accompanied me till i left for work....
what i good cat....

i juz got pay today! the pay for last week.... worked for three days.
Mandy asked me to take a RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) course.
i found it from internet.... there's a on-line course.... $75...
i think it's worth for me to take this course if i plan to work on this field... at least within this year, so that i can find more jobs and it's good for me to have such knowledge.

since thursday night, everyone juz got paid... so the shopping center will close late.... May bought me to a shopping center... i forgot the name....
some clothes are not expensive at all.... great...
i bought a black top for work... as little singapore request to wear it inside the uniform.
and i bought a sun glasses...
after shopping, we ate suishi.... not bad, but surely they can't compare with those HK suishi....

First Morning woke up at Taringa
when i open my eyes this morning, i'm at Taringa. i left the bed at around 9am.... made a coffee, ate some whole wheat breads, played with May's big cat.... i think he likes me;)
since i didn't spend long time to back City yesterday, i left home 30mins b4 i start working. But the train juz didn't arrived.... 5 mins, 10 mins, 20mins.... finally i waited for 30mins? the train station broadcasted the train was delay, apologize abt that.... what if i don't want to accept?! it made me late....
included the walking time, i arrived at 11:55am.... i'm not start working at 12noon.... what to do? if anyone aware that?? the managers are still not arrived, should i inform anybody? after a while, Celia asked me if i was late? she wondered if i know what time i should arrived. she said if i got anything that would make me late, just give them a call.
next time i should leave home one hour b4 that.
then i back to work as usual.
mayb i can describe what i was doing for the job these days.
when the kitchen got dishes ready to serve, they will ring the bell... then we go to get that.
As i mentioned b4, i need to add some Rice, Soup, Sauce, Spring Onion, Lettuces, Lemon, Dried Garlic.... etc. for different meal. i should remember it well.
For those receipt, table no. or stand number are included, don't get them wrong. remember the name of the dishes, the receipt are sometimes in Chinese, sometimes in English. If in Chinese, i should translate it to English. But for those in Malay, even i told them the name, they may forgot what they had ordered. Says Roti Murtabak, then i may need to tell them Minced beef inside. Then they may reply me, "Oh, yeah! Thanks!"
Or mayb some customers may ask me what's that meal.... i should able to describe what's inside, how to serve... etc.
when they finished the meal, i should try to ask if they finished then i can clean up the table.
If the customers ordered already (the number stand tells) then i can ask if i can take away their menus.
If the customers seems enjoying their meal already, i may ask if they got any missing order, if no, i may take away the number stand.
sometimes if we are not busy, i may requested to replace the utensils, or weeping the door.. etc. If at the same time, when i hear the bell from Kitchen or the Bar counter or customers came in while no one is free to serve, then i need to stop what i'm doing and do that first.
i thought of i'm being like those police who got some special mission.... pretended by standers, but actually they are not aim at what they are doing....
the most important job is serve the customers, those other jobs are only for those time no things to do....
Cleaning the window is funny job for me... when i was small, i loved to be on duty for my class. cleaning the blackboard. i love that job.... weeping window is similar thing.... but the door is tall, my hand couldn't reach the top.... in that time, i would think of "why Mum borned me in this height?! why not as tall as my big sister?" that's the only time for me to ask this question....
since today i was late.... i still wonder if managers would aware that if i write down the late arrived time. But what if Celia told them i was late, then i'm not honest abt that.... what to do?
when i was having my late lunch there, i prayed what time i should write... finally i think i should be honest, write the lated time.... i hope no one would blame me abt that....
i ordered Hainanese Chicken Rice today... i thought it's taken away, but they assumed i eat there.... okay, be a customer... i watched the TV without paying attention.... but suddenly i saw Zumba TVC..... it got TVC? i wondered.... but it's juz a very short TVC.... one month since last zumba toning.....
spend some time at library again... on-lining for this blog...
and picked up the same book again. will i be a book worm one day?

May called me and asked if i have interest to join running with her.
she drove me to her frd, Hing's place and started running. one month w/o workout.... and not run always.... i actually run--->jog--->run--->jog--->jog--->run... sometime loose my breath....
but finally i finished 8.5km...
run at night time, the feeling is different. and many runners, cyclists, roller blades players along the way... full of atmoshpere.... one month didn't sweat like this.... feels good.
i found a coach.......... devil coaches....

i found that Dennis, from Taiwan is also in working holiday. He asked if how long if i plan to stay... i think... mayb 2 months..? i don't know either. And he said he plans to stay at Brisbane only. He seems got no idea on how's the farm works will be... good pay or not.... but only stay at Brissie, will it be too waste?!
i worked till 5:30pm yesterday, i asked Dennis if i could choose what to eat, he said if the kitchen are not busy and i'm off-duty alone, i can. If for new waitress, try some more different meal may help. When customers want us to give some recommendation, we can do it.
i chose Nasi Lemak, which called coconut cream rice. i found many ppl order than and looks tasty.
i planned to take it away and enjoy the meal with Josephine.... for our last supper.
since i still got some Yong Chow Fried Rice the day b4, and included that Nasi Lemak... we didn't have to cook anything...
when we planned to eat.... we found that Aaron and Peter were there... and Josephine suddenly received a call.... so we kept on waiting and waiting.... starving.... finally we bought the meal back to bedroom...
sigh..... last supper................... being like that...
packed our luggages afterwards..... actually i given the large luggage case to May on Sunday already. the remaining things... i assumed only one backpack and one handcarry bag.... as a result, 3 handcarry and backpack.....
since i need to work at 11:30am.... i've got no key on May's place yet. and i know May need to work at the early morning.... i wonder what i should do..... i can't bring all these things to work....
i wonder if there's any lockers for storing these luggage.... but no result.
tiring and finally fallen asleep right after i get bed.....

finally i reached May at 7:2Xam.... she's at the office already?! she said i can dropped down the luggages than go to her office which is juz nearby to get the key.....
Aaron checked the room, and asked why the shower water tap got problem.... actually i found that out a long time... but i don't think it's our fault.... we wonder if that what he knew it b4, since normally ppl won't check that part and the first thing he check for the washing room was the tap....
we denied we know it. and finally we got the bond back. He didn't give any help for moving the luggage.... even bought the case downstairs....
finally, i didn't give my namecard to them.

we took a bus which can directly reached the train station, so that Josephine can check in directly. but at the counter, they still not start check in... since i still need to drop down my luggage to May's place, i go to Taringa myself and Josephine stayed at the station and waited till check in time.
when i arrived Taringa, i found that the train door didn't open.... waited for a while, then the train moved again.... oops! i found that we need to open the door ourselves. everytime i took the train, it's peak hour and large stations, so i didn't aware that. since i missed that station so i took another train at the opposite platform to go back.
i took some time at Taringa, follow the map once again to find out where's May's place.
i only got time to left my luggages at her backyard, no time to go her office and take the key.

back to city..... i only got 20mins to stay with josephine.....
then i worked again.... so many customers.... it's quite panic when see some tables are packed with customers, mayb 8 ppl at one table. while the meal arrived, they assume the meal is being place to right person, then it takes extra time.... and since the no. may change a lot, i need to treasure hunt which no. is now at which place.
finally i made it.... and thanks God today i off duty at 2:30pm.... i'm really tired.
spent sometime at library, waited for the computer. and read a novel... i chose a Taiwan romantic novel.... long time didn't read such things....

Gateway Church
not much things i had done yesterday... except taken pics with "little min" again.
之後夜晚飯時間, 佢地有個朋友黎左... 我地快快手食完返上房... 佢地買定好多啤酒.... 一路飲... 我地轉頭落去食甜品果陣己經飲左好多... 之後臨訓前收衫佢地都仲吹緊水.... 一地都係啤酒樽... 心諗此地不宜久留... 唔知佢地會唔會發酒瘟... 快D閂埋房門... 不過其實我地D門係無得鎖0既....
哈, Josephine 問我幾時開始對亞倫改觀... 無辦法喇事實擺在眼前... 算吧喇...
雖然真係唔想攪到咁.... 不過有D野我地都無法控制到...

today i went to Gateway Church with Josephine.
i called Brent yesterday.... don't know if his mobile phone problem or my English is not good enough, i just couldn't listen well..... but finally we confirmed i text him my address and he pick me up 10 mins b4 the sunday service... then i sent him sms at once.
but this morning he sent me msg that he still not received my address yet. so i replied him once again. after 10-15mins, he called me.... he said mayb there's some problem for his mobile phone.... he didn't got the msg and asked for my address.
i thought of fortunately i didn't chose send him msg but called him directly at the very beginning... otherwise, i may thought why he didn't reply.... a few reason that i may choose to find him by sms 1. shy 2. save $ 3. afraid my english listening is not good enough to communicate with him.
but finally i chose to call him. Thanks God.
He picked me and Josephine up. his wife, Celia drove another car with Noah.
Gateway church is a large scale church and contemporary style with worship team instead of choir and organ. i think their worship time is so appropriate, not too long, good enough.... even i didn't heard of these songs b4, i still could enjoy and sang together.
there's a testimony time by a couple. they had been to Africa for medical missionary trip. u know, there's lots of African children in-born with some physical problem on their body. they cure them little by little.... and they told them "You are not being cured, God loves you." and they show them God's healing hands.... they give them hope. And also Gateway church are supporting them by money and prayers. i also heard that they help them feed chickens so that they can sell their eggs or Chicken meat.... they are like Oxfam or World Vision... changing their life by teaching them how to earn $ instead of only donate them $.
the sermon was abt "escape from borderland". Wonder, Walk, Whisper.....
when the Israelites were in the wilderness for 40 years.... they start confusing and forgot God.... or the disciples after Jesus died from the cross and still not yet show them His resurrection, they were confused too.... yes, we have to avoid these thing happen in our life.
remember how "Wonderful" He is, He "Walks" with is and when He gives us warning, He "Whisper", we have to listen it carefully.
so it become www.......... the pastor asked what's our own address... www.adventure.com?? www.amazing.com? u decided...
i saw their recommendation for the night time activities. Watoto were there tonite.
that's an African children chirstian choir. It is a response to the cry of the orphaned and vulnerable children of Africa, whose lives have been ravaged by war and disease. i had once listened their performance invited by Kanas.
i'm so glad that it rang my bell once again. But i need to work tonite, so i'm not able to join, that's a bit pity.

And finally we found that the Gateway church we saw at the internet is not the same one... they are Gateway Baptist Church at Mackenzie what we saw is Gateway Church at Carindale. no wonder Terence told us it's not at Carindale.

so damn heavy.... i almost lost balance and fallen down...
seems i should think of how to make it lighter b4 i move to another destination.
when i was bringing my luggage downstairs, it's feel likes i'm leaving my family secretly....
move my things little by little and escape one day.... i think too much again.

and i got my name tag finally, yay!

2nd day and day off
yesterday, when i was just start working at little singapore, a girl called me.... i took a few sec. to think who she is... she didn't wear glasses.... i known her at King of Kings... another waitress...
we were so glad to see each others....
i told her i quited already. she asked me why, i told her how i was being cheated..... she told me her training was even longer... 3 months.... no pay training.... i was so shocked abt that... i wonder how many ppl are being cheated....
she asked me which food i would recommend.... since i only tried the satay beef rice that they provided for my dinner the day b4... i couldn't give her good recommendation..... just thought if they want, the appetitzer should be great.... the Lobak, Curry Puff...
after a while, since the manager was still not arrived, i took my namecard and given it to her. At that time, i know she called Eunice.
the next morning, she added me at msn. she said she doesn't got facebook. she said she's a student from Macau. we chatted for a while and feel good to know some more frds here.
from her comments on my performance at little singapore, she said i looked a bit confused and should be more confidence. Yes, when just start working, and not much ppl were there, i don't know what to do..... but should avoid let other knows i got nothing to do....
Mandy was not there, another Manager Carol were there. She told me if i really got nothing to do, i can clean the table, chopsticks holder... etc.
i found that the waiters can be almost different with the day before. But they are nice to teach me... but i think i made the cook feel impatient coz i can't take a few dishes together in one time... and not fast enough...
actually i know the dishes for same table should be take them together, but if it includes large bowl, it's hardly handle for me... i would choose those lighter and cold dishes...
and sometimes i still not sure which kind of dish need to add which kind of ingredient... if pending to think, or even want to asksomebody, than too slow....
pls pray for me to have wisdom to remember all these things....

yesterday, day off.... not much things to do.... but since we almost move, leave this dream house... i took some pics here......... suddenly remember i forgot my little monkey, kept it in my bag for a few weeks.... time to release her.... still no name.... and she should be represents me... then the name should be related to me... i thought of "Mi"... but Josephine said "Min" sound better.... okay, "little min" then.... u may see this photo album at my facebook.
then we went to food court to enjoy our lunch.... using coupon... at Subway. i even didn't try it at HK... i thought it's juz something like Burgerking.... but it's actually not.... sandwish.... it's tasty...
and also enjoyed the buy i get one free mocha....
Joesphine wanted to make a phone call, then i walked around at the shopping mall....
Cotton On is on crazy sales.... i think the price is resonable now if comparing with HK...
i i bought a canvas tote bag, i need it. the backpack is not convient for me to go to work...
i saw the price is $19.XX and when i went to cashier, the salesgirl told me it's $10.... wow!
after Josephine join me back.... firstly she said "oh, u spent alot!".... but after that, she said she want to buy one too.... haha.
she hesitated on which pattern she should choose.... the same animal print with me, or floral pattern.... i said floral pattern match with her.... when she went to cashier, the salesman told him that cost $19.XX... he said that one is not on sales..... but they put them together.....
i had ever thought of the previous salesgirl made a mistakes on that....
but when she got one same with me, it's really $10.... so we got a same bag....
we made Lasagna once again. this time, we bought cottage cheese, and bought a aluminium container.... so this time, should be more juicy.... but actually i bit too juicy this time.... but far better than last time.

after a while, since the manager was still not arrived, i took my namecard and given it to her. At that time, i know she called Eunice.
the next morning, she added me at msn. she said she doesn't got facebook. she said she's a student from Macau. we chatted for a while and feel good to know some more frds here.
from her comments on my performance at little singapore, she said i looked a bit confused and should be more confidence. Yes, when just start working, and not much ppl were there, i don't know what to do..... but should avoid let other knows i got nothing to do....
Mandy was not there, another Manager Carol were there. She told me if i really got nothing to do, i can clean the table, chopsticks holder... etc.
i found that the waiters can be almost different with the day before. But they are nice to teach me... but i think i made the cook feel impatient coz i can't take a few dishes together in one time... and not fast enough...
actually i know the dishes for same table should be take them together, but if it includes large bowl, it's hardly handle for me... i would choose those lighter and cold dishes...
and sometimes i still not sure which kind of dish need to add which kind of ingredient... if pending to think, or even want to asksomebody, than too slow....
pls pray for me to have wisdom to remember all these things....

yesterday, day off.... not much things to do.... but since we almost move, leave this dream house... i took some pics here......... suddenly remember i forgot my little monkey, kept it in my bag for a few weeks.... time to release her.... still no name.... and she should be represents me... then the name should be related to me... i thought of "Mi"... but Josephine said "Min" sound better.... okay, "little min" then.... u may see this photo album at my facebook.
and also enjoyed the buy i get one free mocha....
Cotton On is on crazy sales.... i think the price is resonable now if comparing with HK...
i i bought a canvas tote bag, i need it. the backpack is not convient for me to go to work...
i saw the price is $19.XX and when i went to cashier, the salesgirl told me it's $10.... wow!
after Josephine join me back.... firstly she said "oh, u spent alot!".... but after that, she said she want to buy one too.... haha.
she hesitated on which pattern she should choose.... the same animal print with me, or floral pattern.... i said floral pattern match with her.... when she went to cashier, the salesman told him that cost $19.XX... he said that one is not on sales..... but they put them together.....
i had ever thought of the previous salesgirl made a mistakes on that....
but when she got one same with me, it's really $10.... so we got a same bag....
we made Lasagna once again. this time, we bought cottage cheese, and bought a aluminium container.... so this time, should be more juicy.... but actually i bit too juicy this time.... but far better than last time.
當我地整緊果時.... 亞倫0係度睇電視... 無咩點理我地... 之後彼得返黎.... 剪左個新髮型喎... 傾左幾句, 好似對我地煮緊0既野食好有興趣, 咁我咪叫佢可以試下....

New game challenge-Restaurant City
as i mentioned b4... i started a new job yesterday... at the Little Singapore Restaurant at city.
b4 that, since i'm still not sure if Mandy would ask for my CV again... and i want to print a few copies on my CV for applying some more other partime job. Since a few evening shift is not enough for me to save $. so i went to the library and print it.
i went to city directly, to meet up with Andrew, he gave the pay back to me. But i arrived early, so i walked around and "pre-trip" to Little Singapore. Being laughed as an idiot on direction.... i really can't remember how to get there directly from the bus-stop and w/o map. i totally forgot how i found the way my own when i had the interview.... i had walked from this shop to another shop... also when i get there with other ppl, i relied on them and never remember the way.... so i try to find out the way my own once again.
b4 i got there, i saw some busking people and street dancers.... i wonder why weekdays also got ppl doing that... for those street dancers, i think they are juz after school....
actually when i abt to arrive there, i remember the location already...
then i went back.... then i met Daily (the korean gal i known on Sunday) by coincidence... she called me and i actually took i few sec. to flash back my memory... OH, it's her.... we chatted a while, she asked me if i had walk-in to those restaurat and left my CV for applying jobs. i told her after this new job being settledown (i got alot of things to remember...) i will find some more other jobs. Good to see her there.. we'll keep in touch.
after that, i spent some time on the book store.... i read the lonely planet and map...
when i tried to took an "Australia" map out, i found that why there's no any place i'd ever known... and the name of different places, why so German name?? after that, i found that i took an "Austria" map.... stupid...
finally i got Andrew's call... after i arrived the location he asked me to wait... after a little while, a "cool" car arrived with loud engine sound... don't scare me la....
i got back my pay finallllllllly.... exactly same amount with what i counted myself, yay!!

okay back to the topic. i started my new job... basically, Jonathan taught me how to do... he's also from HK. also start from the table numbers.... no table no. on the table also... we need to remember it ourselves.
a bit differet with King of kings, they need to add some more ingredients ourselves b4 served. says, deep fried food need to includes some sliced lettuce and cucumbers... noodles soup with green onions and dried garlics, add a spoon.... BBQ pork rice, the sauces should be on the top of the BBQ port instead of on the rice.... Roasted Duck should be on the rice..... hainan chicken rice with butter rice, sliced green onices, cucumbers, soup, which sauces... which dish includes which sauces...
also the dishes name.... if only in English, that's not a problem... what if it's in Malaysian? Roti Canai (kind of singapore beard), Nasi Lemak (coconut cream rice), Lobak(Fried Meat Roll)...... i need to give some efford on it.
many many things to remember....
and sometimes there's some similar looking dishes... i need to distingulish... don't make any fault.
and the hot plate.... esp. the large bowl of Laska.... heavy and hot.... how to handle it with both hands.... served it gracefully....
and need to do the things fast....
since Mandy said all waiter/waitress got same wages, we are supposed to do the same thing... one day, i should able to take order myself, use the cashier machine.... i need to pick things up faster....
but the pay really better than king of kings alot..... even not much days she can offer me now... but still better....

i tried to make a phone call to my parents... used the tel booth at city.... it's cheaper than using mobile phone... AUD $0.5 for 15mins...
but mum was going out for yoga class.... dad received the call....
assumed to chat 15mins... but seems the call didn't end itself... i didn't give extra coins, but it juz not stop... so we continue to chat.... 15mins and 15mins ... we chatted almost an hour... but it still working... i think that's the first time for us to chat on phone for that long...
but in this one hour conversation... some gangsters scared me by crashed on the tel booth for twice... i worried if i continue to chat, i will be got some trouble... so i ended the call myself...
and my sister finally fixed her msn and can live chat now...
after i arrived home.... Josephine prepared some red bean sweet soup to me.... since i'm starving and tiring... and while i'm eatting that, i suddenly remember the bible history... Esau and Jacob... Jacob use a red bean soup to cheat Esau to sell his birthright to Jacob. When Esau was tiring after hunting.... i thought of what i would choose if i where Esau.... haha, i think too much....
lastly.... the silly thing i mentioned b4.... is the video for my frd, Chris's bday.... haha.... such a lowb video, being a reporter and pretended Laden;p

Bread of the Life
woke up at the morning, juz like what i was doing as usual.... on-lining, made breakfast...
Josephine is day off but she got something to do... we planned to make stuffed chicken wings tonite... i searched for the recipe, found some videos.... it's amazed me that she can remove the bone for the whole chicken wings.... i only know how to cut the whole chicken wings into three piece and remove the bones....

my bible suddenly appeared and reminded me to read it. I've been here for almost one month... how many times had i read Bible?
randomly chose a chaper to read.... 2 Kings Ch 2 had been chosen..... the story abt Elijah taken up to heaven. Elisha as a follower of Elijah, he didn't leave Elijah even he knew the Lord is going to take his master from him that day. when Elijah asked if he got anything to request, Elisha requested for inherit a double portion of Elijah's spirit.
Elijah replied it's hard, but if he can see while he's taken from him, the spirit will be him.
finally he got that...
don't know why, i wants to cry at that moment. why i'm being touched? mayb cos i thought of if we are request for something in God's will, we'll finally got that.
and also mayb the situation.... Elisha was facing being alone, being independent... i'm facing that too... Josephine is abt to leave... although i still got frds at BNE.... but i need to learn taking care myself..
i pray for God's mercy... i pray for God's spirit, so that i can keep on walking on his way....

the skincare method taught my carmen.... using sugar and vegetable oil to act as exfoliator...
i chose my brown sugar (i've got a lot left for making coffee)... and vegetable oil (actually better use olive oil, but vegetable oil is also okay.... better not using peanuts oil)...
used on hands and foot... it's so soft now....
natural and value way for skincare...

they were cutting off some trees.... fortunately, i took some pics on it a few days b4... the red flowers all gone now....
i feel so pity abt that...
mayb in their mind, it juz some maintanance... mayb for safety reasons... but...... =(
sometimes i killing time by reading a book.... "The confessions of a shopaholic"... i borrowed from library. i'm a slow reader.... i'm still at the very very beginning of the story...
shopaholic......... i sometimes claimed myself a shopaholic at HK... only sometimes.... if comparing to other ppl, i'm not actually...
sometimes i don't understand how ppl can use credit card like this....
anyway, i'll never be a shopahoolic at Aussie... everythings here can be in triple, quadruple price...... how can i be a shopaholic here?!
even i got the pay, i still need to save alot, otherwise, i can't travel around and buy souvenirs when i'm back.

the taste... not bad...
and i also made the pineapple sandae sauce... took long time to boil it...
but the sauce is match with the yogurt... mango and passion fruit...

No more hide and seek pls...
today is Easter Monday... office ppl supposed don't have to work.... (又係因為唔知會唔會俾佢地睇到, 用中文博佢睇唔明) 所以彼得與包租公亞倫都唔駛返工, 不過JOSEPHINE 要返工... 你有睇開之前都知呢排好驚對住亞倫...
今朝落去整早餐... 佢兩個都0係廚房... 我又無刻意閃開... 我都想快D 打破隔膜... 而且我覺得彼得無野架嘛, 都無利益衝突... 咁我都主動早晨.... 彼得問我今日有咩做... 其實唔知係咪想預埋我去玩.... 我話都無咩特別PLAN, 可能0係屋企附近跑下步咁喇...
之後佢兩個就一齊出左去喇...
咁都好... 有一朝早FREETIME 可以0係屋企四圍走動... 洗下衫, 慢慢食早餐...
after that, i changed my outfit.... ran around near my place.... since i don't know this place well actually, to prevent getting lost, i juz ran outside the shopping center.... the sun-shine was so great.... kept on running, got sweat.... i like this feeling... no gym, and change to do some outdoor workout.... i feel good... Endorphin works on me...
and sometimes i do body combat at my bedroom.... i didn't turn on the music for that, i don't have much BC music tracks on my ipod... i juz jab cross for 8, hooks for 8, upper cut for 8 then do a few rounds... then round-house kicks, side kicks, front kicks... (no jump kicks, jump knees because avoid to make a loud sound...) sometimes do some lunges and squats... body conditioning is important.... and i plan to stretch more...

He Alive!
this Easter Sunday morning... i woke up early...
i went to city and met up with Terence for attend sunday service at City Tabernacle Baptst Church... He bought his flatmate, Daily, who is a korean gal, she came here for two weeks only... she came here for working holiday but now studying English first, not start to seek jobs yet.
He said he introduce us so that we can go to this church together afterwards..
then he left a bit earlier and got the flight came back to HK... bye bye la...
b4 the service, the receptionist told us there's a free English class on every wed.... that's good for us to know some new frds..... and will have meal together afterwards.... let's see if i have time to join...
the building is an traditional one but the rundown is juz similar with NPAC...
there's holy communion today also.... but this time, it's bread instead of biscuit.... a green grape juice instead of Ribena =p
some of the songs are familiar for me.... as it's juz same with NPAC but in English...
and the "i serve the risen saviour", BSF (bible study fellowship) always sing this song.....
some songs are new for me, but with the choir and organ, i still can follow....
after the sunday service, i exchanged the contact with Daily.... i said i may go to another church the coming Sunday (coz i promised to go to Gateway church with Brent, the Chef...) the week after should be okay.... juz keep contact with that...

i met up with May and had lunch at the Pancakes..... it's juz beside the Singapore restaurant that i will work at.
haha.... this one even more like a church.... the pancakes was great.
after that we do some shopping...... actually not much shops are open, esp the shopping center... all closed because of Easter.... but the pharmacy is still open, so we went to take a look on some skincare products. May's frd called her and asked if she have interest to watch movie...
she asked me to join and that's became first time for me to watch movie here.... and it's a 3D animation.
we watched "How to Train Your Dragon"... i didn't heard it b4... but i think it's not bad... the gesture and expression of those characters are cool.... and also got a positive message...
watching movie here doesn't expensive than in HK a lot... AUD$12 for a 3D movie....
but free seating... so every ppl should go earlier for grab a better seat....
